I made a seat from the stock plastic pan, two layers of blue camping pad foam, and some scrap water buffalo hide. A 1000% improvement over the stock whipped cement so-called seat. The foam should help. Use black duct tape to affix/conform it to the seat if you like it, won't look any cheesier than the stock cover.
